Earlier this month, Zebra Technologies has unveiled its new ZD400-series of the desktop thermal printers. The two new models—ZD410/ZD420—are geared towards retail, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and healthcare industries. They provide efficiency and flexibility in an increasingly connected and digital world. The models are the only printers in their respective classes to offer advanced connectivity options (such as IEEE 802.11ac Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth 4.1) and Zebra’s Link-OS software for convenient printing from the cloud, ease of use and for IT to manage.
ZD410 direct thermal printer meets the demands of the smallest work spaces due to its ultra-compact 2-inch design. It is specially created to print high-quality labels, receipts, tags including shelf labeling, pharmacy prescription labels, scale labels and price markdowns.
ZD420 improves operational productivity as it is the first desktop thermal transfer printer equipped with an easy-to-load ribbon cartridge. This significantly reduces the time for reloading printer ribbons. And as the gadget provides information about the type of the ribbon and the amount of it remaining it could be efficiently operated by any employee in spite of its IT skills.
