Devices keep getting smaller and printers are not exception from this trend. HP again creates world’s smallest printer in its class to fit any personal workspace — HP LaserJet Pro M15 and M28 series, “micro printer for micro businesses”.
The rise of the gig economy is having reverberations on how and why people work. Business models are shifting and new careers are emerging. The new printer is aimed squarely at the short term contract and freelance sectors. Today’s entrepreneurs are looking for smaller design-oriented products that occupy less space, deliver excellent print quality and make it easy to print from a smartphone.
Now 30% smaller than the previous generation, the HP LaserJet Pro M15 and M28 printers are about as tall as a standard No. 2 pencil or the average smartphone. The actual dimensions of the LaserJet Pro M15, for instance, are 7.5″ x 13.6″ x 6.3″. The printers feature a sleek compact design that will fit nearly anywhere.
The HP LaserJet Pro M15 and M28 printers allow mobile workers to easily print business documents and scan on the go—all from a smartphone or tablet. For example, the HP Smart App is designed to completely control the printer from a smartphone, offering simple set up in minutes, fast scanning to the cloud, and making it more convenient than ever to order supplies or print from virtually anywhere3. In addition to the HP Smart App, the new laser devices also support Apple AirPrint™; Google Cloud Print, Mopria-certified and Wi-Fi Direct.
The new prnters are estimated to be available for purchase worldwide starting April 2018.
