Xerox has recently released a couple of new multifunction monochrome laser printers — WorkCentre 3210 and it older brother WorkCentre 3220.
Speed improvements and a bunch of new features make these two machines perfect, yet affordable, for the professional individual or a small workgroup.
The WorkCentre 3210 is an all-in-one (4-in-1, if to be precise) printer – print, scan, copy and fax — featuring print speeds up to 24 pages per minute (ppm), a print resolution up to 1200 x 1200 dpi, and a 250 sheet paper drawer.
The WorkCentre 3220 is also capable of printing, copying, scanning and faxing at resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi and has a 250 sheet drawer. However, it offers higher print speeds — up to 30 ppm — automatic duplexing, PostScript3 drivers and the fax forward to e-mail feature.
Both printers are stuffed equally well: a 360 MHz processor with 128 MB of memory standard, standard networking, a USB memory drive and Energy Star qualification. Additional options, such as 256 MB of memory, an additional 250 sheet paper drawer, wireless functionality are available.
It is worth mentioning that both multifunctions can scan directly to or print from a USB memory drive. They also allow users to connect directly via USB or over a standard network through a plain and easy set-up.
WorkCentre 3210 and 3220 use two types of toner supplies: standard capacity toner cartridges (Xerox 106R01485) and high capacity toner cartridge (Xerox 106R01486). The two cartridges yield 2,000 pages and 4,100 pages respectively.
The WorkCentre 3210 and WorkCentre 3220 are ENERGY STAR qualified, and are available now for the estimated street price of $449 and $549, respectively.
