The Canon of Japan introduced the home market two new models of multifunction printers, PIXMA MX833 and PIXMA MX420, designed for small office and home users.

Both MFPs are equipped with a scanner with a 30-35-sheets feeder, have at their disposal wireless adapters such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0. The devices are capable of storing received faxes to external memory. Printing is possible not only from the computer, but also from a PictBridge-enabled camera as well as from a external USB drive, which can store scanned images.

The controls are located on the front panel, composed of a shield and a group of function buttons.

Resolution of the MX420 is 4800 × 1200 dpi for the 4-color pigment ink jet printer (2 pl droplet size) and 2400 × 4800 dpi for the CIS-scanner. The senior model MX833 suports two-sided scanning and printing, as well as a higher resolution: 9600 × 2400 dpi (1 pl droplet size) for printing and 2400 × 4800 dpi scanning. Another feature of the MX833 is the use of the second shade of black, which results in a higher printing speed.

Performance of home disk printers is unacceptably slow, this is why the Primera Technology company has released a device that prints on disks faster than anyone else in the world. The series of printers was called Bravo 4100 and allows full-color high quality printing of on a disk for about six seconds.

Like any other printer, this unit is equipped with standard CMYK-cartridges, the printing resolution is 4800 dots per inch. High speed is ensured by new robotic elements that operate at 300% faster than in previous models. The printer has with internal lighting, as well as a monitor, which displays the status of printing; the device is compatible with any computers running Windows XP and above and Mac OS X 10.6 and above.

The series consists of three Bravo 4100 models: 4100 AutoPrinter has an input container for 100 discs and the price of $1995 dollars. 4010 Disc Publisher features not only the printing unit, but also a CD / DVD recording system, the cost is 2995 dollars. And, finally, the model 4102 has two modules for CDs burning and a price tag of 3295 dollars.

Eastman Kodak Company announced a new inkjet printer Kodak ESP C310 All-In-One. According to the manufacturer, the model makes prints of high quality, has compact design, and supports wireless connectivity for easy use at home. Proprietary pigment inks, available in black and color cartridges, have standard and increased volume and offer a wider choice for better satisfaction of customer’s printing needs. For example, Kodak Black Ink 30XL (black) and Kodak Color Ink 30XL (color) cartridges allow consumers, who need to print large volumes of photos and documents, making twice as many prints as the Kodak Black Ink Cartridges 30 and Kodak Color Ink 30 respectively.

Kodak also offers a function of 3D-photo printing. The company promises to become the first manufacturer of consumer inkjet printers to introduce three-dimensional images to the market at an affordable price. This technology was developed in Kodak laboratories and makes it possible for Kodak printer users to create and print 3D photos without the need to use additional special equipment. Printer Kodak ESP C310 AiO should appear on sale in April at a suggested price of $99.99.

A new Xerox printer, the ColorQube 8570, is designed to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses and corporate customers for daily office printing. As the producer notes, the main distinctive feature of ColorQube 8570 is the use of solid ink technology, which allows making color printing affordable for users, providing performance, print quality and reliability in using the machine. Solid ink ColorQube 8570 replaced its predecessor — Phaser 8560. All subsequent solid ink Xerox machines will be produced under a single brand, ColorQube.

ColorQube 8570 suitable for working groups of 10 to 15 people. According to Xerox, ColorQube 8570 is one of the fastest A4 printers, with the speeds of up to 40 pages per minute, first print out time is just 5 seconds. The maximum monthly load is 85 thousand impressions per month. Such increased reliability is achieved by the printer design: the device has less moving parts than laser printers and no fuser.

Solid Ink technology enables more contrasting, bright and high-quality color prints with high color accuracy, as well as to print on a textured paper and various materials that are sensitive to heat.

In a typical configuration the printer is equipped with a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB memory, upgradeable to 2 GB, supports connection to a network 10/100/100 Base-Tx and running the Adobe PostScript 3. Option to ColorQube 8570 can be purchased hard drive with 160 GB wireless adapter, floor stand for storage of supplies and accessories, as well as additional paper trays.
