Novelty On The Label Printer Market: Primera Color LX2000

Primera LX2000 Label Printer

Announced earlier in June, new LX2000 Color Label Printer from Primera Technology, one of the global leading manufacturers of specialty printers, features higher capacity ink tanks and excellent quality of the output.

The new model is one of the fastest-ever desktop color printers. It produces labels at speeds of up to 6” per second what is about 25% faster than the company’s best-selling LX900 (equal by the printing quality).

Separate ink cartridges for cyan, magenta, yellow and black are of high capacity and keep the cost per label low. Pigment-based ink provides stronger resistance to UV light, chemicals and water. The machine as well features a built-in cutter, viewing window to see label stock levels and wired Ethernet or USB 2.0 and wireless connection options.

The printer’s pigment ink and Primera’s Tuffcoat Extreme PolyJet material belong to a GHS compliant label solutions. Its drivers are included for Windows Vista/7/8, and the Bartender Ultralite Software (for Windows) helps to format label designs, add barcodes, QR codes, etc. A widest range of inkjet label materials, including Primera’s exclusive Tuffcoat Extreme™ white and clear polyester, are available for LX2000. Paper labels could be in high-gloss, semi-gloss and matte finishes.

The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price fir LX2000 is at $3995.

According to Mark D. Strobel, Primera’s vice president of sales and marketing: “With LX2000, there are only benefits and no compromises.”
